For families seeking sponsorship for their child’s education, KCS requires several essential documents and steps. Parents must download and sign the annual contract, which details term contributions and is available in Kinyarwanda. Additionally, a bank slip must be provided as proof of contribution payment, and an additional receipt will be issued by Felicité for KCS records. Parents also need to submit a letter requesting sponsorship, accompanied by the child’s birth certificate, which is crucial once the child is under consideration. Moreover, a student performance report is necessary to record the student’s results in our system, as we closely monitor students with low grades and implement support measures to aid their academic progress. There may be additional documents related to financial aid or special considerations that we might request. All these documents must be submitted in person at our offices in Kibagabaga, located inside the Youth For Christ building/Spring of Hope building. For families seeking regular admission to KCS, the process is straightforward and requires the following documentation. Initially, we ask for two passport-sized photographs of the student and a copy of the student’s birth certificate for primary school admissions. Alongside this, a copy of the student’s medical insurance card is necessary. Proof of payment of the registration fee, which is RWF 10,000, must be provided via a bank slip. Additionally, we require report cards from the previous school and previous academic years to understand the student’s academic background. For secondary school admissions, a discipline record is also required. Similar to the sponsorship admissions, there may be additional documents related to medical or special learning needs that we might request.
